Elegant small solid silver tray with the Minerve hallmark, by Parisian silversmith Cailar Bayard, in Louis XV Rocaille style, measuring 27 cm high, 17.5 cm wide and 1 cm deep, weighing 278 g, dating to 1900–1910, in excellent condition with minimal wear.

Elegant small solid-silver tray with a dynamic, undulating edge (Minerva head mark), made by the prestigious Parisian silversmithing house Cailar Bayard (the house was active until 1912, the date of its takeover by Christofle).
Details of the piece:
• Style: Louis XV / Rocaille with contoured edges and delicately pierced handles.
• Decoration: Fine chasing of floral and foliage motifs on the marli, testifying to the high level of craftsmanship of the silversmith.
• Weight: 278 grams of silver
• Personalization: Object without a monogram (virgin of family engravings).
Perfectly authenticated hallmarks:
• Master mark: Diamond with the initials "C B" surrounding a radiant sun (official mark of the Cailar Bayard house).
• Title mark: Minerva head (official guarantee of French solid silver).
• Control marks: Presence of additional assay/control marks on the reverse.
Condition:
Very good overall condition. No deformations or major dents. Beautiful luster and well-preserved details.
