Vide poche - Val Saint Lambert - Noemie

Typical Art Deco vide poche, model ‘Noemie’, from the Luxval collection of the Belgian glass- and crystal factory Val Saint Lambert. Design by Charles Graffart and Rene Delvenne. This exemplar, in the large oval version, is executed in a rare light-blue semi-crystal pressed glass.

This coupe is described in the Luxval catalog from 1935 (see illustration). The coupe is mass-marked with Val St Lambert Belgique.

The vide poche is in excellent good condition with minor signs of wear (two flea bites, no chips, no tarnish). Small enclosed glass bubbles and glass threads are normal for the production process of that era.

The coupe is about 10 cm tall and has a diameter of 24 cm (34.5 cm including the handles), 15 cm on the narrow side.
