JONVELLE BIS is based on the original French edition published by Éditions Nathan in 1989, and this Japanese edition was published by Treville in 1991 and distributed by Libroport. The book presents Jonvelle’s elegant visual style through soft light, quiet composition, and natural poses, creating an intimate and refined atmosphere.
Jean-François Jonvelle is known for his work in fashion photography, portraiture, and images of women. He is also described as having worked as an assistant to Richard Avedon in the 1960s, and later contributed to magazines such as ELLE and Vogue.
