Box - Cast iron

A very finely cast iron box on four feet and its cover, of cubic shape with figural lid finial, measuring circa 18cm in total height and weighing 1325g. Probably German work (Fer de Berlin), second half of the 19th century.

Condition: Some damage to the finial, otherwise very good, no significant damages or repairs. Minimal surface corrosion. Please see photographs for more detail.
