Fantastic bronze figure depicting a fantastic winged griffin with serpentine body, wings spread, and an expressive head with beak open. Full bronze casting finely chiseled, preserving its original gold bronze patina.

The piece bears the intaglio mark “Fabbrica M. Guggenheim Venezia”, a Venetian manufacture active in the late 19th century, renowned for decorative castings inspired by medieval and Renaissance repertoires.

Height: 13.5 cm

Condition: signs of use on the patina, light soiling in the recesses and a small old chip on the reverse of one wing. No restoration.
