Edixa-Mat Reflex 35 mm SLR with M42 mount, serial number 505826, dating from the 1950s–1960s, in fair physical condition and tested and functioning.
Description from the seller
The Edixa-Mat Reflex is a German SLR produced in the 1950s and 1960s by Wirgin, a company known for making rugged, fully mechanical cameras. This model represents one of the most characteristic European SLRs of the period, with a solid design, classic lines, and an entirely metal construction that immediately conveys a sense of precision and reliability.
The Edixa-Mat Reflex uses 35 mm film and is equipped with a reflex viewfinder with a pentaprism, a solution that allowed you to frame directly through the lens, a feature that was very advanced for its time. The camera is fully manual and requires direct control of shutter speeds, apertures, and focusing, offering an authentic and technical photographic experience. Many models adopted the M42 screw mount, compatible with a wide range of vintage lenses.
The ISCO 50mm lens produced by the German company ISCO Göttingen is a classic standard optic very common in the European analogue period. The 50 mm focal length is considered particularly natural because it is close to human eye perspective, making it ideal for everyday photography, portraits, and street scenes. ISCO optics are appreciated for their soft rendering, delicate contrast, and the typically vintage character of the images.
in some points the skin has peeled off, flexible tube in addition
