Description from the seller
The WERRA V is a refined German camera produced in East Germany by Carl Zeiss Jena, belonging to the famous Werra series, known for its minimalist and extraordinarily original design compared to other cameras of the era. The Werra V immediately stands out for its clean lines, its compact body thickly coated in olive green materials typical of the series, and for the absence of the classic film advance lever, replaced by a special integrated loading system around the lens.
This camera uses 35 mm film and is equipped with an integrated rangefinder, which allows for more precise and faster focusing than simpler models. The operation is predominantly manual and offers a very technical yet highly engaging photographic experience. The Carl Zeiss lenses mounted on Werra cameras were particularly appreciated for sharpness, contrast, and high-quality photographic renderings.
