About the artist:
Yamila Velázquez (Las Tunas, Cuba, 1993) is a contemporary artist who uses digital intelligence tools; she currently lives and works in Alicante, Spain. Owner and partner of a company dedicated to the sale, representation, and development of artists and artworks, Velázquez combines her entrepreneurial vision with a deep artistic sensibility.
This young Cuban talent has established herself in the field of digital art, using contemporary media to explore themes related to nature, landscape, and the intimate relationship between woman and her environment. Her works address with subtlety and visual strength topics such as beauty, love, sensuality, and feminine delicacy, always framed in enveloping, romantic, and refined atmospheres.
With a vibrant and expressive aesthetic, Yamila Velázquez manages to fuse classical influences with a modern language, resulting in versatile, fresh, and deeply evocative works. The painterly texture of her images, the masterful use of color, and the emotionally balanced composition position her work as a current, high-value artistic proposal.
Shipping and presentation:
The work will be carefully packaged by a professional and sent in a rigid cardboard tube, internally protected with bubble wrap to ensure its integrity during transport. Shipments are made through reliable courier companies such as UPS, FedEx, or Correos España, depending on the destination and the most convenient option in each case.
The estimated delivery time is 7 to 10 days, though it may vary depending on the destination country.
My series is founded on the Japanese tradition of Kintsugi (repair with gold), a philosophy that transforms fragility into an aesthetic and spiritual strength. In this work, I fuse this ancient concept with the universal character of The Little Prince, whose story is, at its core, a deep reflection on memory, bonds, and the pain of growing up.
By applying the Kintsugi texture to The Little Prince and the Fox, I am not simply decorating; I am revealing the intrinsic truth of their characters: their beauty does not reside in their pristine state, but in the scars that testify to love, loss, and the lesson learned. The gold that seals these “fractures” in their bodies and on their planet, B-612, symbolizes the process of emotional reconstruction. The work communicates that the experiences that fracture us are the same ones that, when accepted and exalted, grant us a new and more valuable identity. The canvas is a manifesto of resilience: fragility is not hidden but celebrated, transforming what was a wound into the strongest, brightest part of our story.
