Antique wicker doll pram from Asia, dating to 1970–1980, in good condition with minor signs of aging, made of handwoven rattan on a metal chassis with wooden wheels and metal-spoked wheels, featuring a working adjustable canopy and original upholstery.
Description from the seller
Antique wicker doll pram / doll carriage Europe, late 20th century
Beautiful and decorative old doll carriage crafted from woven wicker/rattan on a metal chassis with wooden wheels, metal spoked wheels and metal rims.
This type of doll pram was inspired by the luxurious prams and “carriage prams” from the Victorian and Edwardian periods, with miniature versions made for children from more affluent milieus.
The specimen testifies to careful and high-quality finishing:
- finely woven wicker/rattan work;
- metal frame;
- wooden wheels with metal spoked wheels;
- functional adjustable canopy;
- original interior lining attached with small nails;
genug visible brand marks not present.
The black canopy shows normal age-related signs and slight discoloration/white bloom on the surface, appropriate to the age of the object. No cracks detected. The overall condition is beautiful and authentic with normal signs of use and age.
Very decorative collector’s piece, suitable as antique toy, interior decoration, or collectible within the realm of children's and toy antiques.
