Elegant Italian solid silver 800 salsiera (sauceboat), manufactured by a Vicentine atelier identified by the hallmark “266 VI,” attributed to the mid-20th century. The piece stands out for its refined slender and harmonious silhouette, characterized by an aesthetic balance of Modernist taste with Art Deco echoes. The elongated boat-shaped body, pronounced pour, and sinuous handle give the whole a highly elegant and sculptural presence. Particularly interesting is the contrast between the mirror-polished external surface and the delicately hand-hammered interior, a detail that adds depth and artisanal quality to the object. The feet decorated with a shell motif add a refined classical reference, perfectly balanced by the clean lines of modernist design.
