Description from the seller

Grand service platter by Bernardaud & Cie, Limoges porcelain, Imari Floral Décor, early 20th century

Description
Large circular serving platter in Limoges porcelain, made by the prestigious factory L. Bernardaud & Cie. This piece is a refined testimony of French table arts from the Belle Époque.
The platter bears a magnificent Imari-style decoration, inspired by Japanese porcelains, with a rich and traditional color palette: iron red (orange), cobalt blue underglaze, and fine gold trims. The composition is divided into radiating compartments adorned with floral motifs and stylized landscapes, converging toward a richly worked central medallion.
Details:
• Finish: Lobed (undulated) edge highlighted with a fine gold line.
• Authenticity: Double mark on the reverse. Manufacturer's mark "B & C°" in chrome green and decorator mark "L. Bernardaud & C° Limoges" in red.
The numeral "1" under the second mark corresponds to the workshop number or an internal reference for the gilding or painting.

Technical specifications
• Manufacturer: L. Bernardaud & Cie (Limoges).
• Era: 1900-1927
• Material: Genuine Limoges porcelain.
• Dimensions: Diameter 31 cm.

State of conservation
• Overall: Very good condition for a century-old piece.
• Details: The decoration has retained its freshness and vibrant colors. The glaze is very glossy. No cracks, chips, or restorations to report. The gilding is well preserved.
