Description from the seller
Splendid Empire style bronze two-light bouillotte lamp finely chiseled with delicate engraving dating from the end of the 19th century.
Very beautiful arabesques with floral details and pine cones.
Its metal lampshade with a hand-painted gold decor is original and its height is adjustable.
Originally, this lamp was designed as an accessory for a card game, from which it takes its name: the bouillotte. The "bouillotte" game was popular in France, notably during the French Revolution, a French card game that appeared in the 18th century and was based on a three-of-a-kind.
This luxurious lamp will bring a touch of chic and French elegance to any interior.
