These ruby (corundum) crystals come from Mauritania (Tiris Zemmour region), about 100 km northeast of the town of Zouerate.
All photos are taken in natural daylight.
For some of them I placed the rubies on a light source, the flashlight of my mobile phone, or a lamp.
I have photographed these gems as honestly and precisely as possible using daylight.
