Description from the seller
Elegant oak lift-front cabinet, crafted during the 20th century, characterized by classical lines and a pleasantly compact proportion that makes it easy to fit into different furnishing contexts.
The front is adorned with panels with a gently curved motion and the natural grain of the wood, enhanced by a recent hand-polished finish using the traditional shellac technique, subsequently protected with carnauba wax. This finish provides depth, warm tonal shading, and a soft sheen that respects the original material.
The upper lift-front conceals an internal compartment with a writing desk surface, functional and well proportioned, while the lower part consists of hinged doors that offer additional storage capacity. The piece rests on a contoured base with stylized feet, in keeping with the classic taste of the furniture.
The compact proportions (height 89 cm, width 85 cm, depth 39 cm) make the piece particularly versatile, suitable as a small writing desk, an entryway cabinet, or a decorative storage piece.
The furniture is in good preserved condition, with restoration carried out in accordance with traditional techniques. There are light signs of time and use, consistent with its age, which do not compromise its stability or usability, but rather attest to its authenticity.
A classic-taste object, ideal for elegant interiors or for creating a refined contrast in contemporary settings.
