Magnificent service set from the famous French goldsmith house Christofle, including a knife rest set and a rare collectible item.
1. Set of 6 knife rests:
• Model: "Sully" (classic design with ends featuring faceted balls).
• Material: High-quality silver-plated metal.
• Markings: Each knife rest bears Christofle’s balance hallmarks (master mark).
• Condition: Very good overall condition. A lovely patina is present, they can be polished to regain their original mirror shine.
• Presentation: Supplied in their original Christofle box (Empire green color).
2. Collectible bottle opener (Rare):
• Description: Advertising and commemorative item in silver-plated metal.
• Obverse: Profile portrait of Charles Christofle (1805-1863), founder of the house, with the inscription "Charles Christofle Orfèvre à Paris".
• Reverse: Mention "Fournisseur de l'Empereur" with a laurel crown. Personalized inscription for the historic sales point: "Pavillon de Nice, 3 Place Masséna".
