Hanging lamp - Wood, Glass, Brass

Hanging ceiling lamp mid-century modern.
Sputnik/Spider style.
Germany, the 60s/70s.

The label indicates production by VEB in Meissen, which was a factory in Saxony. In the GDR they made many lamps in the mid-century and space age styles. They were known for combining brass, beech wood, and glass.
This item is a classic "Sputnik" in a version with shades. Brass arms, wooden rosette, and the distinctive glass shades with wafer texture, pineapple.

- arms - brass-coated bent tubes, 6 pieces in a "spider" arrangement
- body wooden, turned, with a brass rosette on the bottom
- shades - two-layer: milk white + transparent, wafer/pineapple

Original item, preserved in a nice, good vintage condition with signs of time appropriate for its age, e.g. tarnishing on brass parts. Functional, working, two-circuit.
