This is a rare Olympia typewriter Progress model with the “DM” variant, produced in Germany during the 1930s.

What makes this machine special and unique is the fact that it has a special key up at the top right with two technical symbols, probably for use in some industry of the era.

The golden initials "DM" stand for "Die Maschine des deutschen Mechanikers" (The machine of the German mechanic). The special model is part of the German labor and industrial history of the pre-war era, when workers’ corporations were centralized.
