"Goldorak 50th Anniversary - Street Ed" unique work – Black&Gold Ed

With this piece, SKE pays tribute to Goldorak, a mythical figure of Japanese animation and a true generational icon. Born in the imagination of the 1970s and having become a cult for several generations, Goldorak remains associated with an entire universe: Actarus, Euphor, Vega, the Golgoths, the Faltering or Fu-launch, the Astérohache, the Cornofulgure, the Spacecraft, the Space Research Center, and the struggle between Earth and extraterrestrial forces.

This composition celebrates Goldorak’s 50th anniversary, 1975–2025, by blending Japanese aesthetics, calligraphy, vintage manga codes, and the energy of contemporary street art. Mount Fuji, vertical writings, golden splashes, and spray effects give the work a dimension that is ceremonial, pop, and urban.

SKE revisits here one of the most powerful symbols of Franco-Japanese popular culture. The robot appears as a monumental, almost sacred figure, between childhood memory, commemorative poster, and contemporary pop icon. The drips, textures, and painterly gesture provide a modern reading faithful to the artist’s street/pop universe.

- ARTIST BIO:
SKE is a self-taught French artist and versatile creator who grew up in the 80s/90s culture, inspiring a large majority of his artistic works.

He constantly explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stencil, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic and expressive compositions, often with double meanings, blend the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art.

After an exceptional year in 2025, SKE’s value has been rising notably. Winner of the first prize at Urban Master (2023), later named Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025).
SKE was chosen as "Artist of the Month" by the Opulence gallery in October, and he also benefited from a feature in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition.

His works have already been exhibited in major venues in Europe, the United States, and Asia, consolidating his place on the contemporary art scene. In parallel, SKE also makes a mark in the digital artwork market, a major trend in the last two years, enhancing the appeal of his creations to collectors.

Icons of popular culture, bold graphics, and texture plays characterize a now-unmissable style.

SKE is undoubtedly an artist to follow, to start or enrich a collection with rising value.

Artist Ranked & Awarded – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art

A UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY SKE’s work sits in a prestigious lineage. His line carries the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating the subversion of Banksy or pioneer Blek le Rat. His works create a bridge between eras: they revisit the classics, not hesitating to remix the Mona Lisa by Vinci, Vermeer’s Young Girl, Hokusai’s Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms to confront them with a modern urban aesthetic akin to Mr. Brainwash or Kaws.

POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing from the collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons from our childhood. He stages the Disney universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and the symbolic greed of Scrooge McDuck. The influence of gaming, comics, and graphic novels is omnipresent: from the Nintendo universe and the legendary Game Boy, to Pokemon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), via Marvel superheroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami.

LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style sometimes reminiscent of Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The Dollar symbol sits beside luxury and fashion logos. His canvases capture the “Hype” aesthetic: you encounter sneaker culture (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also incorporates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not forgetting mass-consumption icons like Coca-Cola. It is vibrant art, with textures that evoke the glossy finish of Jeff Koons or the facets of Richard Orlinski.

This piece is ideal for enriching a collection or bringing a dynamic touch to your interior.
