Description from the seller
Format A2 60x42 cm
Unique work by artist SKE, printed on Hahnemühle museum-quality art paper.
This creation pays homage to one of the most powerful icons of Japanese animation: Goldorak, also known as Grendizer. In a spectacular composition, the famous robot bursts into action above a stylized Mount Fuji, surrounded by explosions, flames and Japanese typography inspired by retro science-fiction posters.
SKE revisits here the entire visual imagination of the Goldorak universe with a contemporary, graphic and decidedly collector-oriented approach. The work blends the energy of 1970s Japanese posters, vintage manga aesthetics, pop culture and the street-art spirit inherent to the artist.
The rendering evokes childhood memories, the golden era of Japanese cartoons and the visual impact of cult cinema posters. The deliberately retro treatment, with its poster slightly worn by time, gives this piece a strong, nostalgic presence without altering the intensity of the colors.
This work is especially aimed at collectors and fans of Goldorak, Grendizer, Actarus, Alcor, Vénusia, UFO Robot, giant robot, mecha, vintage manga, Japanese anime, japanimation, science fiction, 70s/80s pop culture, collectible posters and the Go Nagai universe.
Both nostalgic, dynamic and decorative, this piece will naturally find its place in a collection devoted to manga culture, childhood heroes, or the great icons of Japanese animation.

- ARTIST BIO:
SKE is a self-taught French artist with a versatile background who has grown up in the 80s/90s culture, inspiring a large portion of his artistic work.
He constantly explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stenciling, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic and expressive compositions, often with a double meaning, fuse the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art.
After an exceptional 2025, SKE's market value has risen noticeably. Winner of the first prize at the Urban Master contest (2023), then crowned Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025).
SKE was selected as "Artist of the Month" by the Opulence gallery in October, and also featured in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition.
His works have already been exhibited in major venues in Europe, the United States and Asia, consolidating his place on the contemporary art scene. In parallel, SKE has also established himself in the digital art market, a major trend in the last two years, increasing the appeal of his creations to collectors.
Icons of popular culture, bold graphics and texture play characterize a style now essential.
SKE is undeniably an artist to follow, to start or enrich a collection with rising value.
Renowned & Awarded Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art
A UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY The work of SKE fits into a prestigious lineage. His line carries the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating the subversion of Banksy or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works create a bridge between eras: they revisit the classics, not hesitating to recast Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or the deconstructed forms of Picasso to confront them with a modern urban aesthetic akin to Mr Brainwash or Kaws.
POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing from the collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons of our childhood. He stages the Disney universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and Scrooge McDuck’s symbolic greed. The influence of gaming, comics and graphic novels is omnipresent: from the Nintendo world and the iconic Game Boy, to Pokemon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), through Marvel superheroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami.
LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style sometimes reminiscent of Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The Dollar symbol sits beside luxury and fashion logos. His canvases capture the aesthetics of “Hype”: sneaker culture (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also integrates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not to mention mass-consumption icons like Coca-Cola. It is vibrant art, with textured finishes evoking the glossy surface of Jeff Koons or the facets of Richard Orlinski.
This artwork is ideal for enriching a collection or bringing a dynamic touch to your interior.
