A very beautiful letter signed by Charles Eugène Gabriel de La Croix de Castries (1727–1801), Marshal of France and Minister of the Navy under Louis XVI, who contributed to the reorganization of the military and naval forces on the eve of the French Revolution.
Very good condition.
"The King was pleased to approve S. Léridé to fill a place as Cadet Gentleman."
