The Camedia 8080 is the last in Olympus’ high-end Camedia series. Like the others (7070, 6060, 5050), it’s a camera designed by taking inspiration from professional SLRs, condensing the features into a fixed-lens body with surprisingly impressive performance for its time, offering high resolution and excellent color rendering.
Although it is an evolution of the 7070 (which has always been my favorite), the camera remains more delicate than its predecessors, perhaps to reduce weight without sacrificing features. The zoom evolution is the touch that was missing in its predecessors. The lens brightness is always excellent, starting here at f/2.4. The simple and intuitive Olympus menu, classic of the Camedia series, makes it easy to use even for beginners while retaining important prerogatives for professionals who can push it to professional levels.
I paired it with a ready-to-use custom bag sized for it and its various accessories.
It remains an excellent camera, very versatile for any occasion, including desk work.
This is a private sale with the “seen and liked” approach.
The photos are an integral part of the description, reflecting the condition of the item.
It will be securely packed and shipped via courier.
