Small model of the Sifflet vase designed by Ettore Sottsass, produced by Habitat around 2000. Light-blue glazed ceramic, matte dark-blue base. Flattened cylindrical shape with an oval cross-section, rectangular opening on the top. Glossy finish. Available in two sizes.

Ettore Sottsass (1917–2007)

Italian architect and designer, born in Innsbruck. Graduated from the Polytechnic University of Turin in 1939. Art director of Olivetti from 1958 to 1980, where he designed notably the Valentine typewriter (1969). Founder of the Memphis Group in 1981, a major movement in postmodern design. Worked for publishers such as Alessi, Knoll and Venini. His work spans furniture, ceramics, glass, jewelry and architecture.
