Description from the seller

Olympus 35-S — D.Zuiko F.C. 45mm f/3.5

Hello from Japan!
We provide high-quality cameras and lenses to the world.

The Olympus 35-S, introduced in 1955, is a landmark 35mm rangefinder camera from Olympus. It was the first Japanese lens-shutter camera with a film advance lever, and also featured a self-cocking mechanism and coupled rangefinder — innovative features for its time. Equipped with a D.Zuiko F.C. 45mm f/3.5 lens and a Seikosha-MX leaf shutter (B to 1/500), it is a beautifully crafted all-metal camera that represents an important chapter in Japanese camera history.

It is in good condition for its age. The shutter speed is accurate, the aperture blades operate smoothly, and the rangefinder double image is clearly visible.

Note: The rear element has some haze. The front element is clear.

Note on light seals: The film chamber appears to have no light seal material. It is unclear whether this is original to the design or whether seals were previously removed.
