This commemorative 2 euro coin, minted by Monaco, is dedicated to Carladès and dated 2025. It is bimetallic, combining two different alloys to form the coin.
The face value of the coin is 2 euros. The total weight of the coin is 8.5 grams, which corresponds to the standard of 2 euro coins in circulation in the euro area. Its diameter is 25.75 millimeters.
The coin is part of the commemorative issues, highlighting a particular event or theme related to Monaco or Europe. The release of this coin is planned for the year 2025.
In the center, the ancient fortress of Carlat, now gone, in the viscounty of Carladès. At the top of the image, you can see the issuer country name "MONACO" in front of a rugged shield on the left and the lion, Carlat’s heraldic animal, on the right. At the bottom of the image is the motif of the issue "COMTÉ DE CARLADÈS" and on the right, the issue year "2025" as well as the workshop marks of the Monnaie de Paris and the Master Engraver Joaquin Jimenez.
The coin is struck only in BE quality (Belle Épreuve), which indicates special care given to production, with shiny surfaces and matte reliefs, intended for collectors.
