Large wine or beverage decanter - Mappin Brothers (Mappin & Webb). Thick glass, faceted and engraved. Origin: England, first half of the 20th century. Very good condition, as shown in the photo there are small losses in the decoration near the base.

Mappin Brothers is a historic English silversmith firm founded in 1845 in Sheffield by the great-grandsons of Jonathan Mappin (the founder of the workshop in 1774). They were renowned for silver and silver-plated wares, and in 1863 they transformed into the prestigious brand Mappin & Webb, which continues to operate today as a luxury jeweler.
