Two sterling silver spoons (Towle & Jones and Wallace Silversmiths), with Chippendale (Pat. 1937) and Rose Point (Pat. 1932) designs respectively, each about 15 cm long and 3.5 cm wide with a total weight of 70 g, USA origin (Massachusetts and Connecticut), in excellent condition, not shipped to the USA.
Description from the seller
1. Minimalist / Elegant Spoon
Manufacturer: Towle Silversmiths (one of the most prestigious and oldest silver factories in the USA).
Model / Pattern: Chippendale (it's explicitly engraved on the handle).
Marks: TOWLE STERLING Pat. 1937
Origin: United States (Newburyport, Massachusetts).
Century: 20th Century. The pattern was patented in 1937, during the Art Deco period, although the style evokes the classic lines and curves of 18th-century English furniture by Thomas Chippendale.
2. Highly Decorated / Rococo Spoon
Manufacturer: Wallace Silversmiths (another historic giant of American flatware).
Model / Pattern: Rose Point (one of the brand's most famous lacy and floral patterns). The small symbol engraved before the word "Sterling" is Wallace's classic monogram (a stylized deer stag inside a shield).
Marks: [Wallace Symbol] STERLING PAT. 1932
Origin: United States (Wallingford, Connecticut).
