Description from the seller
BIO-FIZ Two-Stroke Engine Cutaway Model – 1977 Technical Teaching Display – Working Educational Demonstrator
A beautiful and authentic vintage educational model of a two-stroke internal combustion engine, made by BIO-FIZ in Poland in 1977.
This is a technical teaching demonstrator designed to show the operating principle of a two-stroke piston engine. The model features a cutaway construction with visible internal components, including the piston, connecting rod, crank mechanism and colour-coded intake and exhaust passages. The blue and red sections illustrate the flow of the air/fuel mixture and exhaust gases, making the model both technically informative and visually attractive.
The mechanism is manually operated by a small crank handle, allowing the piston and crank system to move and demonstrate the working cycle of the engine. The model also appears to include a carburettor-style intake element, consistent with the educational purpose of this type of display.
Mounted on its original wooden base, the piece has a very strong technical and industrial character. The original BIO-FIZ manufacturer’s plaque is still present on the base, which adds significantly to its authenticity and collectible value.
The model is preserved in very beautiful vintage condition. The painted sections remain attractive, the metal parts show only light age-related patina, and the wooden base presents very well. It is a particularly decorative and educational object — perfect for collectors of mechanical models, technical school equipment, automotive history, industrial design, engineering objects, or vintage scientific instruments.
It would also make an excellent display piece for a garage, office, workshop, man cave, automotive showroom, technical school, or private collection.
