Important Russian Orthodox icon depicting Christ Pantocrator, dating from the late 19th / early 20th century.
The icon features a refined riza (oklad) in stamped silver “84”, the typical standard of silver of the Russian Empire (875/1000). There are also hallmarks of the silversmith in Cyrillic characters.
Very fine workmanship with engraved and repoussé decorations of high quality. The original panel is mounted in a large antique wooden frame.
