Grand spherical glass vessel in translucent green-yellow glass, dating to the 3rd–4th century AD, from ancient Roman culture, in excellent condition, 143 × 105 × 105 mm, from a private collection in Paris and acquired in 2025 from France.
Description from the seller
Large translucent glass bottle in a yellow-green color, with a spherical body, a flattened base, and a center indented slightly inward. A horizontal shoulder extended by a cylindrical neck that is strongly constricted at the base and features a mouth with a cut lip. The body bears a decoration of very fine, ground incisions arranged on several registers. There are internal and external iridescences with silver and gold reflections over the entire glass, as well as a few earthy deposits.
