Lot of 27 banknotes and related monetary items, spanning Italian pre‑unitary era to post‑1970s issues, including a 1848 5‑Lire patriottica, 1867 5‑Lire Soccorso a Sollievo dei Romani, 1894 Remmert & Co. 1 Lira Fiduciaria, plus three world notes and a Cartamoneta Gift Card, with PMG and Cartamoneta certifications where noted.

Lot of 27 items among Italian banknotes (largely certified), mini-cheques, politically-collectible banknotes, spanning from the Pre-Unification period of the Kingdom of Italy year 1848, then the Kingdom of Italy year 1894, to the period of the Italian Republic after the 1970s.
In addition to the lot there are 3 world banknotes and a GIFT banknote.
The Lot therefore is composed as follows:
LOT A - No. 2 Patriotic Banknotes - No. 2 banknotes of 5 Lire 1848 - FDS and QFDS Conservation - Uncirculated 60 and 64.
The 5 Lire patriotic coin of 1848 is an important piece for numismatic enthusiasts. This coin, with the Lion of Saint Mark inside a circle, is accompanied by the inscription "REPUBBLICA VENETA" and the date "22 MARZO 1848". Under the lion’s support on the left, the engraver A. FABRIS F. is indicated. The coin’s value is surrounded by an oak branch and a laurel branch.

The 5 lire banknote "Soccorso a Sollievo dei Romani" of 1867 is a historical paper document of an assistive type issued to help Roman citizens at a particular moment. Manufacturing in Ciriè - province of Turin, dated 29 March 1894, certified by Cartamoneta (Condition SPL + Extremely Fine 48). The Banknote is "Non Emessa" (not issued) and thus still has its corresponding matrix.
Antonio Remmert, originally from Barmen, Prussia, was born in 1838. After a long career as a textile entrepreneur, he moved his business to Turin in 1869 and later to Ciriè in 1874, where he established a network of industrial activities. His family played a significant role in the industrial history of the region, contributing to a sector that passed from Canavese craftsmanship to cotton and wool processing. Remmert was also an important supporter of culture and art, with his presence in the Museo Nazionale della Montagna in Turin and in the local community. His life and works have been collected in a book curated by a group of historians and archivists, providing an overview of his life and the importance of his family in the industrial history of the City of Turin and the town of Ciriè.

The first mini-checks appeared in December 1975 (December 10, 1975 by Istituto Bancario San Paolo, with a value of 100 lire) and were subsequently issued by many banks; they had nominal values of 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, and 350 lire. They were called so because they were circular checks, but smaller in size than the norm for such an item.
