The coin shown is a Liberty Head Double Eagle of $20 from the United States of America, minted in 1901; it is one of the most prestigious in American numismatics and served both as circulating currency and as a banking reserve for international transfers.
The design is by James B. Longacre.
Obverse features the profile of Liberty facing left, adorned with a coronet (diadem) bearing the inscription "LIBERTY". It is surrounded by 13 stars representing the original colonies, with the year of minting (1901) at the bottom.
The reverse depicts a heraldic eagle with a shield on its breast, grasping arrows and an olive branch. Above the eagle is a circle of 13 stars and the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST".
