Empatia grows from the merger of the great tradition of blown glass and Artemide's LED technology.
The strong interest in the expressive potential of the material led to collaborating with master glassmakers to gain full control of the particular plasticity of Venetian glass and to work on the balance between surface and light, between delicate densities and transparency.
The result are clear, pure objects that, thanks to artisanal craftsmanship, are effectively unique pieces. Transparency and opacity are expertly balanced to obtain glass that reflects and diffuses light without glare, without losing efficiency. The result is an optical engine that has its heart in a high-performance LED light engine, which is housed separately from the glass-emitting body to favor thermal and performance efficiency.
