Roman Empire Antoninianus of Valerian I (AD 253–260), silvered billon, Antioch mint 255–256 AD, radiate bust of Valerian I and the PIETAS AVGG scene with Valerian and Gallienus sacrificing at an altar; weight 3.42 g, about 23 mm; good very fine condition with some original silvering remaining.

IMP C P LIC VALERIANVS PF AVG Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Valerian I to right.
PIETAS AVGG The two emperors (Valerian and Gallienus) standing facing one another, sacrificing over lighted altar, with the one on the left holding an eagle-tipped scepter in his right hand, and the one on the right holding a parazonium in his left.

Good very fine condition. Some original silvering stll remaining.
