In African art, the Bozos are known for their pieces in bright colors.
This stool does not escape the rule.
Its seat is decorated with geometric motifs, and it rests on a caryatid-like base that represents an antelope.
The Bozos are a people who still today are semi-nomadic, moving their dwellings according to the seasons and the water level, upstream or downstream of the river for some families. They often live on temporary islands created by reeds, or even partly create them by draining the banks of an islet. Forced to settle under the reign of Cheikhou Amadou (1810-1844), they remain nomads and return to their huts for a few months of fishing after the
