Art Nouveau tile made by: Societe des Pavillions, Belgium. This factory was founded in 1911. The decoration of a thistle is relief-decorated using a dust-pressed technique where clay powder is compacted under high pressure in a mold. I have been trading antique tiles for almost 20 years. I sell medieval lead glazed floor tiles. Italian, Spanish and Portuguese tiles from the fourteenth to the eighteenth century. Dutch tiles from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, as well as tiles from the Art Nouveau and Art Deco period. I sell at special tile fairs in Germany and England, through Catawiki and eBay and through my website.
