Description from the seller
Sculptural miniature of a hunting dog in solid 925 silver – Madrid School, 1940s–1950s
Elegant sculptural miniature made of solid silver, depicting a refined hunting dog in a show pose, a classic stance associated with working and hunting breeds such as the English Setter or Irish Setter, easily recognizable by its streamlined body, elongated snout, and one raised paw in a tracking attitude.
The sculpture features detailed work in fur modeling, with finely etched lines that add movement and realism to the piece. The dynamic and expressive posture conveys the essence of traditional show dogs used in European hunting.
Made by Spanish silversmith masters from Madrid during the 1940s–1950s, it constitutes an attractive collectible piece for lovers of animal miniatures as well as collectors of Spanish silver.
It bears a punch mark around the tail area, partially legible. In addition, a silver assay test has been performed confirming a 925 silver composition, guaranteeing the authenticity of the material.
