Jones Sewing Machine Company hand-crank sewing machine with an iron body, in good condition with small signs of aging and blemishes, dating circa 1879–1909, dimensions 35 cm wide by 26 cm high by 19 cm deep, weight about 5 kg, in working order.
Description from the seller
Late 19th to Early 20th Century British Jones Hand-Crank Sewing Machine
A charming antique hand-crank sewing machine with elegant black lacquered body and delicate gilt floral decoration, displaying the refined industrial aesthetics of the Victorian era. It was produced by the Jones Sewing Machine Company of England, dating approximately between 1879 and 1909.
These machines were originally manufactured for export to tropical countries, and therefore feature heavily plated metal parts designed to resist humidity and rust, adding both historical interest and collectible value.
The machine shows expected age-related wear and minor paint losses, with an attractive authentic patina throughout. The mechanical structure appears complete, and the hand wheel still turns. Ideal as an antique collectible, decorative display piece, or photography prop. The reference page/booklet is NOT included!
Approximate dimensions: 35 × 26 cm.
Note: The machine itself weighs approximately 5 kg. For shipping, please allow for a total packaged weight of around 5–10 kg depending on the packing materials used.
