Two 500 ml ceramic jars from Muraglia, Frantoio Muraglia, Puglia, Italy, in the POP ART line ARAGOSTA and FICO D'INDIA, containing 100% Italian extravergine olive oil; new condition.
Description from the seller
Lot consisting of 2 ceramic amphorae of 500 ml, from the POP ART line, named: LOBSTER and PRICKLY PEAR, of extra virgin olive oil produced by FRANTOIO MURAGLIA, PUGLIA - ITALY.
Frantoio Muraglia was born in Andria, the capital of Puglian olive oil, five generations ago, but the patriarch of the family counts 450 springs. It is a majestic Coratina olive tree, a native cultivar armed with polyphenols like few among Italy’s 538 classified varieties. Our history as olive oil presses begins with this green giant that dominates our countryside on the Murgia plateau, a stretch of about 40 hectares of olive trees. We continue hand-picking the olives and cold-pressing in the ancient stone mill.
The amphorae are from the POP ART series and are named: LOBSTER and PRICKLY PEAR, just as the images depicted, from left to right, on each of them.
The amphorae of the POP ART collection, entirely handmade by artisans from Puglia, are true design objects that bring the colors of the land and sea of Puglia straight to you. Colorful pop marine elements: bright tones and matte chromatics customize octopuses, squids, and fish that dart across the white ceramic, exalting its purity and artisanal perfection; pastel streaks, instead, become glossy iridescences of the rainbow – Frantoio Muraglia’s distinctive iconography – that dive into the sea to personalize very colorful octopuses and return to shore, tinting the prickly pears with warmth.
