Description from the seller

Victorian silver-plated egg frame for 4 people - "Egg Frame" with a central handle and Neo-Gothic details - Late 19th Century / Early 20th Century

Elegant and unusual Victorian/Eduardian-era table egg holder, a refined piece reflecting the formal breakfast rituals of Europe’s high society in that period.

This set, known in English tradition as the "Egg Frame" or "Egg Stand", consists of a raised circular base supported by decorative feet and topped by an ornate central shaft with an ergonomic handle for easy transport directly from the kitchen to the dining table. The structure holds 4 individual egg cups for boiled eggs, arranged symmetrically.

The design presents a strong decorative character, with geometric elements and pointed finials influenced by Neo-Gothic styling, giving it an imposing and highly collectible presence.

Material: Silver-plated metal.

Marks: No maker's marks visible (common in some regional manufactories or pieces intended for export at the time).

Approximate dimensions: 20 cm total height with handle x 16 cm base diameter.

Approximate weight: 820 g.

Condition: Good overall condition for the piece’s age. It shows a natural charming patina and slight wear due to age on the silver layer, which enhances its historic character and authenticity (see detailed photographs to assess the true condition).
