Antique wooden mirror in Empire/Biedermeier style with original foxed mirror glass, dark veneer wood, turned finials and gilded details, dating to ca. 1840–1880, with external dimensions 54 × 84 × 8 cm, originating from the Netherlands and in good used condition with signs of age.

Special antique wooden mirror in Empire / Biedermeier style with original worn looking mirror glass (foxing). The mirror has a warm classical appearance thanks to the dark veneer wood, the turned ormolu elements, and the gilded details.
The weathered mirror glass adds a lot of atmosphere and authenticity, making this mirror very suitable for shabby chic, country, simple, and hotel-chic interiors.
The back shows an old artisanal construction with original wooden parts and fittings, appropriate for the age of the piece.
Period: Probably mid to second half of the 19th century (ca. 1840–1880).
