A Baccarat crystal perfume bottle with a green overlay, carved by acid and hand-cut, dating to the late 19th or early 20th century, 15.2 cm high and 6 cm in diameter, unsigned, in very good condition with small chips on the lower part of the stopper.
Description from the seller
Crystal Baccarat perfume bottle with green overlay. By overlay, we mean a structure of white crystal covered with colored crystal which, when cut, allows the white to show through by transparency.
Our bottle belongs to the Empire toilet service of Baccarat, represented in the 1916 catalog of toiletries. This very fine decoration is obtained by acid engraving and then hand-cut. The bottle is entirely covered with green crystal, then cut back 80% to leave visible in color only the green band. This is a very substantial piece of work.
Produced in the late 19th century or early 20th century, it does not bear the glassmaker's signature.
Rare model, rare piece in very good condition (small flakes on the lower part of the stopper).
Height: 15.2 cm
Diameter: 6 cm
