TEAC P-9 Direct Drive Fully Automatic turntable, manufactured in 1981, in good physical condition and tested and operational, weighing approximately 8.6 kg, includes power supply.
Description from the seller
The TEAC P-9 is a vintage turntable introduced in 1981, known for being a flagship component of TEAC's “9” series. It is sold in another listing as the set consisting of the A9 amplifier, T9 tuner and V9 deck.
It is a device that combines the precision of Direct Drive technology with the convenience of a fully automatic system, making it a highly sought-after piece by collectors for its reliability and ease of use.
The TEAC P-9 design reflects the hi-fi aesthetics of the early 1980s, with a solid chassis and a gray/metallized finish typical of the period. Its main feature is the Quartz Lock direct-drive system, which guarantees exceptional speed stability, almost eliminating wow and flutter.
Being a Full-Automatic model, it allows you to start playback and return the tonearm to the resting position with the press of a single button, protecting your records from accidental handling.
It is equipped with a stroboscopic light.
The turntable shows some signs of age as highlighted in the photos, which are an integral part of the description.
The dust cover has some surface scratches but is intact, as are the hinges.
From a functional standpoint, the turntable is in excellent condition.
It features a high-quality Stenton L725E cartridge with D70E stylus.
