Payá electric railway set with locomotive 984 and three passenger cars, metal construction, made in Spain in 1940–1950, includes original box and manual and blue transformer; overall length 85 cm with 132×70 cm of track, wheels show zamak fatigue, not tested for operation, otherwise well preserved.
Description from the seller
This exceptional Payá electric train set is a jewel of Spanish collecting, preserving its full original essence. The set stands out for including its box (though with logical flaws due to its age), period manuals, and the blue transformer—elements that rarely survive together. The locomotive 984 and its three passenger cars retain vibrant lithography. The locomotive is 18 cm long, the passenger cars 15 cm, and the coal wagon 11 cm; the complete train measures 85 cm in length and the mounted track area is 132 x 70 cm. It’s important to note that the locomotive wheels show metal fatigue (zamak), a typical detail of these pieces that underscores its authenticity and offers a nice restoration opportunity. A complete lot, rich in history and perfect for nostalgic collectors or experts who wish to preserve the legacy of the legendary Payá factory. Due to its age and the condition of the wheels, its functionality has not been tested, so we cannot guarantee it works; otherwise it is quite well preserved considering it is a toy from the 1940s/1950s, very hard to find and much less complete with box and documentation, a unique opportunity you should not miss. It is delivered as-is in the photographs.
