Description from the seller
1966 Ford Mustang Coupe: 289 V8 | Automatic | Le Mans Stripes | Driver's Car
Body & Paint:
The car is finished in white with bold blue Le Mans stripes running the top and trunk and a set of flames on the hood, which also features a period-style scoop, a combination that turns heads without trying too hard. The paint presents well overall, with minor imperfections consistent with a 60-year-old car. The car's factory paint is believed to be blue, and it has received a respray to white at some point in its life. This is reflected honestly in the (reserve) price and presentation, it's a car that wears its history openly.
Chrome bumpers, headlight surrounds and trim pieces are in good condition. Glass is in good condition. The underside, as shown in the photos taken on the lift, looks clean.
Technical Condition:
Under the hood, there is a 289 cubic inch V8. It's been fitted with a purposeful black finned Mustang air cleaner, fresh plug wires, and fires up immediately. The V8 is punchy and responsive, pulling strongly through the rev range. Backed by an automatic transmission that shifts smoothly, this is an effortless car to drive. Brakes feel right and the car handles as you'd expect from a classic Mustang. Tires are in good condition. No significant leaks to report.
Interior:
Inside you'll find the classic blue vinyl interior in good condition, a nice contrast against the white exterior. Bucket seats, period-correct door cards, and a full-length custom center console with cup holders and floor-mounted automatic shifter that complete the look. The dashboard and gauges are all visible and most electrical functions work as they should, with only minor issues typical of a car this age. This is an honest, characterful interior that's ready to be used and enjoyed.
Documentation:
The car is registered in the Netherlands and comes with a Dutch kentekenbewijs. It is road-legal, and ready to go immediately.

Request help with registration from a third-party service provider.Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
