Description from the seller

An UK Half Plate camera in very fine condition. I believe this is a Thornton Pickard, indeed the Amber version (double extension).
The bellows are light-tight and the ground glass is beautiful. The camera can be adjusted smoothly. The lens has no labeling, but online you can find an identical lens that does have the labeling.
This is an antique brass camera lens, namely a Universal Rapid Aplanat produced by Chr.Fr. Winter Sohn Leipzig.
Material and Type: The lens is equipped with a rotatable diaphragm ring with F-stops that vary (see photo) and range from f/8 to f/64. The front lens has a few light specks on the glass (see photos). In my opinion this does not affect any possible use of the camera.
The camera comes with three film plates (identical size/different versions). One of the plates is damaged at the top edge. No effect on use. Finally, the wooden storage box is provided by Brown Bro. of Edinburgh.
As stated, the photos form a coherent whole with the description of this fine camera.
