For sale is a first-class, analog macro photography set from Minolta from the legendary SR/MD era. The set consists of the highly precise Minolta Auto Bellows (bellows unit I) and the associated special macro lens Auto Bellows Rokkor 100mm f/4.
Since the lens has no own focusing ring (Short-Barrel-Design), it is perfectly matched to the millimetre-precise adjustment rail of the bellows. This pairing is famous among macro photographers for its distortion-free, extremely sharp imaging performance down to the micro range. It also adapts excellently to modern mirrorless digital cameras (Sony, Fujifilm, Canon, Nikon).
Bellows unit: technically and optically in an excellent condition. The bellows is absolutely light-tight, undamaged, not brittle and has no dog-ears. The adjustment wheels and the drive screw run silky smooth and precisely. The millimeter scale is perfectly legible.
Lens (100mm f/4): The lenses are clear, free from scratches, haze or fungus. The aperture blades are absolutely oil-free and close quickly. The housing shows hardly any signs of wear.
Mounts: Minolta SR/MC/MD bayonet. The mechanical auto-diaphragm coupling (Auto function) works flawlessly.
