L'opera raffigura una celebre figura storica, il Principe Eugenio (Eugène de Beauharnais, viceré d'Italia e comandante napoleonico), fiero sul suo cavallo bianco rampante in uniforme militare d'epoca, arricchita da dettagli in oro zecchino e colori vividi.
