The catalog contains 234 pages featuring a wide selection of works and materials related to Robert Mapplethorpe’s artistic career. This edition was produced specifically for the Japanese exhibition and is considered a highly collectible Japan-exclusive publication.

As a special exhibition item released for the Japanese market, it has become increasingly difficult to find today and is regarded as a valuable piece among photography book collectors and Mapplethorpe enthusiasts.
