Our complete planet in a compact size dating from the mid-century. Political and physical glass-illuminated globe from Columbus Verlag Paul Oestergaard Berlin Stuttgart. Through the DUO principle the globe simultaneously displays two map views – one in the illuminated state, the other in the unlit. The Columbus Duo from the 50s were among the most beautiful illuminated globes. The wooden stand with a metal half-sphere in which the globe is reflected and the half-meridian ring made of aluminum with degree markings turn the educational viewing object into a decorative element in the study.
