Description from the seller
Mercedes 200 TE Automatic.
The car is truly in superb condition for its mileage. Owned by a long-time dealer who used it as a second car, the vehicle has been consistently serviced and maintained over time within the official Mercedes network. There are countless service stamps, all carried out at Mercedes, and overall the car is really in excellent condition.
Externally, time has taken its toll on the bodywork. On the left side there are the classic marks or scratches from tree branches that have been covered somewhat crudely. The lower front and rear sections also show signs of wear from the passage of time, and from the fact that the car was not always parked indoors but often stored outdoors. Nevertheless, both the mechanicals and the chassis wonderfully conceal the miles the car has. Only note is the absence of the windshield wipers and the left-front indicator glass slightly damaged in the glass but functioning in the mechanism.
The engine purrs like a violin. It starts with half a turn of the key and has not the slightest leak. It is one of the Mercedes models that has received the most official maintenance we have had the chance to deal with.
The interiors are in excellent condition and are the original Mercedes (they are recognizable by touch for their robustness) and are still very comfortable and not at all damaged by time. Apart from a small plastic square around the electric mirror adjustment buttons on the driver's door, the car has not a single flaw. Nothing is missing or not functioning. The door panels are excellent, the ashtrays pristine. Even the air conditioning works well. The car also has a power sunroof. Features that are not at all common are the divider net in the trunk and the sliding cargo floor, which is usually absent on this type of car.
Italian-made car still with its original plates.
Meticulous maintenance performed at every predetermined interval.
All service books present, and even the Mercedes pouch.
Carfax clean and available.
Inspection valid until June 2026.
Rare car in this configuration.
Never LPG converted.
Ready for transfer.
Worldwide shipping available at favorable rates.
Additional costs expected (about 250 euros) for foreign buyers.
The car is located in Rome. Please contact Catawiki for appointments or to request more photos/videos of the car.

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
